Ka’Tiera Truett- Owner, Birth Doula
My name is Ka'Tiera and I am a trained birth and postpartum doula to the Raleigh-Durham triangle area. I am a mom of one and I have given birth to two babies as a surrogate. I really enjoy helping families all around and I believe giving birth is such a beautiful moment.
Our Offerings
During Pregnancy
As your doula, I am here for you! Available from 8am-8pm for texting, or 24/7 for emergency phone support. We will meet twice during pregnancy at around 32 and 36 weeks to go over your birth plan, comfort measures, your postpartum plan, and any evidence based information that you desire.
During Labor
Once your labor has started, we will assess if you’re ready for me to come to you at your home or your place of birth. I will be there for your labor, supporting you physically, emotionally, and informationally to help you to have the birth you desire. Once baby is here, I will stay for 1-2 hours to help with feeding and to make sure everyone is doing well.
During Postpartum
After you have gotten settled in for a few days at home, I will come visit you to make sure feeding is going well and you are healing, and to discuss your birth. We will also have time to marvel at your newborn and all that you accomplished! Then I will check back in with you at various points throughout the next 6 weeks to answer any questions or share resources. I am available for those 6 weeks for phone calls or video chats to trouble shoot breast/chest-feeding, sleep issues, or general parent/baby care, or to refer out to other perinatal professionals as needed
